Strategy in Business & Management

  By the use of strategy anybody can become a successful person, adorable lover , good politician or famous businessman; and to fulfil your dreams you should learn about the diff'rent techniques to use in strategy.

  In my college days seniors used to vote on a number of quations, among them whether education or contacts had been the most valuable gain of the past four years. Contacts always won.

  Let's take an example, suppose that you want to run a factory - budget is 100 crore Rs. according to IME, but as per the situation of area the budget is more. Due to nuesense, government problems, diff'rent culture and unreliability of the project makers, you need to make a strategy of it. I know in such cases generally what youwill do! You'll call a high-level meeting to prevent such nuesense in your company, and hence fair and other payments will be increased and your important time will be waste. And according to me, in some cases, top-management is Dhutarashtra (blind)! Because they're taking actions according to the reports given by the people of their relations like PA, legal officer or their personal officers. But, these people are nt localites, and they always afraid of such nuesenses as they're not having enough power to control them. Hence, whenever they're going to do such work they will be under nuesense for safety. Thus, a small point for the top-management will create a big problem!

  But, for such problems you should take help of some localites inspite of calling a high-level meeting! You should find such loclites who has good public relations in his area and by knowing the neccessities and faults of the nuesense you should try to solve the problem in a short way. You should make your every work easy by the help of such strategy and should try to solve each problem before completing your project investment.

  Qualification and education is of course important in management, but public relations and your grip in controlling the area is also important. Many times we've seen a power broker of some company, a matriculate or a diploma holder on the top of the management skill of a successful running company. Stereo type management never succeeds. That kind of management succeeds which can make suitable waves in diff'rent area, diff'rent culture, and discrete country. Remember that a small change in a complex system can result in a large and unpredictable outcome!

AmbanisThe greatest pleasure in life is in doing what people say you can not do. And I think Dhirubhai Ambani of the Reliance Group has made this quote true. He used a very diff'rent kind of strategy in the business field. He was servicing in Gibuti (Africa) in the 60's, and started his own business after a few year. Vimal was his first approach in business and in a short period he lead all other companies of his field, and made his company's reserve fund very strong and by the help of which he won the public appearance and in a few years developed many other stuffs in the field of business. The strategy of Dhirubhai has always been something discrete than others and that's why he is one of the great industrialists of the world!

  Whether it is budget of parliament, SEBI or BSE governing board, income tax department or excise department, all has been in favour of Dhirubhai Ambani. Whether it's the BJP governement, or congress or someone else, the budget has always been in benefit of him.

  Now, what will you call such a leading personality? A successful businessman, a diplomat politician, a good liasening person or a mafia hero of business? It is left to you; because nobody resisted him ever in any field - neither the Shivsena supremo Bal Thakkerey nor Sharad Pawar, neither Arun Gauly nor Daud Ibrahim and Chota Rajan. Have you ever heard that any mafia donn has asked for money to Dhirubhai? I believe that Dhirubhai is standing on the shoulders of the giants, and it is because of his discret strategies!

  Likewise, Ambuja Group can be also involved as a leading company which developed itself by using diff'rent strategies. After a small start in 1994, Ambuja cement has now come out as a large company with a good reserve fund, and in addition, in stock market also they have a fine reputation and grip. And to achieve this place Ambuja Group has defeated some powerful companies of India like Tata, Birla, and ACC in the cement devision. Because from 1994 to 2001 Ambuja's growth of the reserve fund is greater than the others. I think that the MD of Ambuja, Mr N S Shekseria, has followed this motto to fulfil their goal that the success lies in knowing the point of view of yours as well as of the other, and then to think with a tune over it!

  We can describe 3 discrete important purposes for the development of the Ambuja Group as follows :
(1)__________The structure of management and the powers given to the them to take immediate actions.
(2)__________Good liasening and practicle approach.
(3)__________The datawise watch and visit of the promoters and the integrated powers (tunning) of dispach, marketing, and finance.

  Now, let's take a look why some giants of the cement industry like Tata, Birla, and ACC lost their leading place now. Before the 90's there was no competetion to these groups and the consuption capacity was high in comparision to production capacity. After 1993, the production capacity increased simultanuesly. But, the strategy of these companies still remained old and stereo type and their management remained powerless, hence they could not achieve progress as Ambuja did. And, in addition, after the low period of 1997 to 2001 the Grasim Group of Birla Industries did a high lose due to two false actions and powerless - stereo type management. They misused 40 billion Rs in land purchase and in mismanagement to start a new cement project near Veraval (Saurashtra - Gujarat) which is still not started! And continued this loser game by overtaking the old Digvijay company of Bangad Group. This can be taken as an example of the lose strategy.

  And in the other hand, by the help of diff'rent strategies, world's biggest cement project of Sanghi Group is in progress in Kutch (Gujarat). But, we should be aware of the fact that this project was being delaying from last 5 years and thus naturally it was in interest lose! But, then, all of sudden, after the year of 2000, this company wake up and due to the solutions of the past problems they made up their waves in the market. Before coming to the production they took 10 times more deposite from the dealers compare to the others and made a record! The advantages of this great achievement of the company goes to the President & CEO Mr H R Pandey. He believes that faith can move mountains! Was a manager in 1996 and today he is braking new records in the cement industries! It is so hard to make any prejudices about what he will do in the future! According to him, to foresee is to rule! Remember that this all happen because of his powerful and intelligent strategies.
